Daniel Francis Doyle Tour Dates

One man band, music machine, and all around awesome dude Daniel Francs Doyle is set to take off on a 7 week long North American tour. The tour starts this Thursday – September 1st – in Austin, Tx, and runs through the end of the month out to the East Coast and back, before another three weeks going out West. The shows on this tour will feature both solo songs and his new trio – I’m psyched!!! Check out the complete schedule here:

Pterodactyl tape coming soon

The mighty Pterodactyl will be re-releasing their European/vinyl-only EP Arnold’s Park on SOUNGS later this year. Arnold’s Park (originally released on Deleted Art in 2010) finds the band in their most experimental mindset, playing around with loops and drones to build fractured songs and landscapes. It’s a huge favorite of ours at SOUNGS, and we’re psyched to see it given an alternate state-side release. The cassette and digital release will feature silk-screened packaging, stay tuned for more details!!

Daniel Francis Doyle and SOUNGS’ own Jonny Two Eyes just recorded a new song for the upcoming compilation on SOUNGS. Scheduled for release this fall, the compilation will also feature new & unreleased material from Pterodactyl, Mittens on Strings, Unmanned Ship, El is the Sound of Joy, and many more. Check out this trailer for Any Indicator, the upcoming video album by Hearts of Darknesses and Shitface.

The DVD will be released later this year on SOUNGS, accompanied by an mp3 download of the soundtrack (by Hearts of Darknesses) and a screen-printed poster featuring artwork from the film by Sandra Chi.
